Ernie Mackenzie began building his legendary boats in 1944 when he constructed Ginger, the first Mackenzie Cuttyhunk design. The Mackenzie Boat Club was formed in 1992 by a group of owners dedicated to preserving their boats and to educating others about the methods of construction and people involved in the company over the years.
